My dash time clock seems to be losing time, any thoughts?

Car is stored on a trickle charger and battery is all ok.

Thanks

The symptoms could be explained by an intermittent power supply to it. Take it out and test it on a direct new supply from the battery.

Is there another constant power supply in dashboard I could tee off?

I can only think the thing that has changed since my rebuild has been the alarm...

The clock is fed from the same supply as the lights button that will turn on the lights and instrument illumination with no key inserted.

It's probably just age; my last one used to lose about 2 mins a week.

There might well be but I suggest you verify the clock is good forst by giving it a known good electrical supply. If you do have a fault in either the current earth or live you dont yet know if you hook up somewhere else in the dash that that is good if you see what I mean.

Well recently pulled dash apart, removed clock and put on 12v power supply for last few days and kept prefect time.

So my thoughts are finding another live supply in the dash, initial thoughts was tapping into live supply to alarm maybe?

In my rebuild the alarm was changed and works fine, so assume it power supply is good too...

Any thoughts or ideas would be appreciated.

Power supply to the lights and hazards must be to hand in the dash too, and are permanent live feeds
