Hi guys, i am completely fresh to share buying so i thought i would get used to the ropes via a simulator (fortrader) app.

My question is. Are the fees built into the price of the share? Or if i transfered to a live accoutn would it be as simple as it currently is?

Also i seemed to do quite well buying and selling multiple times through the day rather than holding onto stock long term. I was 600 quid up on my 10k pot (thanks to easyJet and crude oil) but forgot to sell my Netflix shares when the Us market opened and lost any profit i made yesterday.

I do keep up to date with political and business news so i would gave some idea about how the markets respond to company news and results etc and not view it purely as gambling.

Im assuming there are better apps out there, which ones would you recommend?

You pay a fee to trade, about £10 on smaller trades that you're looking at. Then there's a spread on share prices so the sell price is higher than the buy price. If you're modeller let's you buy and sell at the same price without charges, then sure it's easier to 'make' money.

If I’ve understood your preferred strategy correctly you may be better off looking at spread betting rather than owning the shares.

Will be loads cheaper all round for the same effect.

You’re looking at trading rather than investing. I agree with the previous poster in that conventional investing may not be for you, but you presumably understand the risks associated with betting rather than investing. Suggest you get to grips with the upside/downside potential of various strategies before to get too deep.
