04 Volvo XC90 2.4 AWD AUTO

Found one of these for £2.4k sitting with 128,000 miles. MOT history has been good, failed a couple but only due to minor faults (damn lightbulbs ruining its record history 
). Body shape looks immaculate in the photos but I will find out as to whether I've been catfished or not tomorrow 
. Has a nice little sat-nav screen, which I had no idea existed in these Volvo models.
Is the price worth it? I could probably bring it down a few quid with my shrewd negotiation skills
, but nevertheless, are there any key areas to watch out for?
What issues are likely to arise with this sort of mileage?
Granted its a 15 year old car and there will be issues but I'm trying to ensure the faults that ensue on this car wont result in a scrap collector being called.

I'm running a 2008 manual model. It's just passed its MOT with no advisories. It is an agricultural thing so you get plenty of knocks and squeaks but they are like tanks. We've had the handbrake cable replaced a couple of times over the years. Seems to be a weak point on ours at least.
It was involved in a collision last month where some bloke pulled out in front of me without noticing I was there. I tried to stop but ended up rear ending him. When I got out I inspected the car I couldn't even find a mark where the impact was. The panel gaps were all as they should be, nothing. The bloke admitted fault and drove off with his rear bumper in a bit of a state. Great family work horse to keep the kids safe.

+1 for the suspension. Mate just gort a 54 plate with lots of little problems. Drives OK but has error from 4 wheel drive. Was told its a sensor , then filter and stuff on rear diff. Failure to communicate front to rear. Can be done DIY for less than £1.5K but he has an MOT coming up. Is the error (Amber) an MOT failure?
Beware at that mileage the gearbox and 4wd system. I assume you mean the D5 with the auto?
Am on my third XC90 (now in the latest shape with horrible 2 litre diesel engine!) and the original 2006 one is still with me on 200,000 miles but it is two wheel drive (rear diff blew so we disconnected the prop/haldex/halfshafts/diff) and the gearbox runs OK for a few miles until it gets hot and then misses gears, bangs and clunks. Car is relegated to being used when we need to park somewhere dodgy in town where we don't want to park the new one or trips to the tip etc!
We also had wheel bearings, top engine mounts, rear park sensors, not being able to put it into drive (little plastic shaft in gearstick) not being able to undo the steering lock.... all lower arm bushes and mounts need replacing etc etc.
But yes built like a tank, have had several smashes over the years in the XC90s (my wife drives like a spanner) and I wouldn't put the kids in anything else.
Quite happy for the wife to drive something less robust when she is on her own though ....

Tyres biggest expense for all 4.
Then pads and a few suspension parts but nothing major.
My cousin's manual D5 had a leak which knackered the centre diff (?). £2.5k was the final bill I think but it was on 160k miles and he had it since 50k miles so not bad.
Mine averaged about 32 mpg but did lots of stop start and short journeys with a weekly blast to free it up

I think my best bet would be to bring a mechanic with me, don't want to make the wrong purchase. Will have to wait till Saturday because the dealer said it had an oil leak, so will have to be fixed.
