I am after a cap or acorn nut which has a thread of 10mm x 1.0mm.

I can find loads of 10x1.5 but can I find 10x1.....

Any ideas? Thanks!

Spoke to them last week - same link as above. They make them to order which takes 4 weeks.

I will go with those if I cant find anything else - which I think is going to be the case.

Thanks for the link though.

I think my temp fix is going to stack up 2 m10x1.0 nuts and then lock them against each other and then full the open top nut with JB weld. That should do for now till the above company has some stock up.

Sorry for the repeated link 😊
The 1.5mm thread is 'coarse' and the 1.25mm thread is 'fine'. A third thread size is quite unusual in my very limited experience.
I learnt a bit about this stuff when I rebuilt my suspension. I found Spalding Fasteners very helpful.

Thread pitches usually vary according to the diameter. M8 fine is 1mm pitch. M10 fine is 1.25mm. M10 extra fine is 1mm.

If I was in a rush I would do but I can probably hang on for now. Thanks for the idea though.

Good that you got them, and some of the links are well worth knowing.

But what I really want to know, is why you want such an unusual nut anyway ? A specific use I am sure.

Thermocouple port on my F355 is M10 x 1.0 and I have removed them so need to seal up the ports.

Ah, in that case, I'd have suggested one of these much earlier:

Forgot to update this thread last month but the dome nuts arrived from GWR and were spot on. Amazing quality stainless steel and fit like a glove. I have no affiliation with them but I will use them again and would recommend them.
