Reinforced rear springs
Discussion
Hiya all
I'm trying to get replacement rear springs for a saab 93 convertible and everywhere is listing a reinforced rear spring and standard for all models (saloon, vert and estate)
Nobody seems to know the correct spring, my thinking is reinforced would be correct for the convertible (heaviest) but it might mean towing too.
Does anyone know what reinforced means? Can I fit the reinforced springs?

I would have thought that reinforced means springs meant for carrying loads and/or towing. There is no reason you couldn't fit reinforced springs but you may find the rear of the car rides differently due to the different spring rate.
If the normal spring is listed for the convertible then I see no reason to fit the reinforced spring just because the convertible is a bit heavier than an estate. An estate with a person sat in the back would not require reinforced springs (it would help though if the estate was used for carrying building materials).
