Speedy 1968 pre-moon - which stitching on leather strap?
Discussion

I fancy sometimes replacing the SS bracelet with a tan leather strap on the watch my father has bequeathed to me. What's your opinion on whether to have contrasting beige stitching or to keep the stitching the same colour? Watch will be worn with anything from a suit to shorts and T-shirt.
So, this...

Or this...

Up close, this...

Or...

Photos are from FinWatchStraps, the manufacturer or both (slightly different) straps.

Many thanks for any opinions. I really can't decide and welcome any comments.

I have the same watch and unlike a lot of other iconic watches, the Speedy is very strap sensitive. I've not seen many options that suit it other than the standard bracelet. That said, the leather with the coloured stitching looks good. Probably the nicest alternative option I've seen. I don't think the second strap looks right but it's all personal preference. Anything but nato...
Beige contrast stitching for me. Maybe the lighting but the other strap looks a bit more orangey.
I also disagree with the post above (but as always it's a matter of taste and that's an individual thing), I think the Speedy looks far better on leather and across a number of types and colours. Mine works equally well on the OEM black croc, a brown vintage leather strap (Geckota) and a black racing strap (B&R).
Agree on the nato though.

They are two different straps. It's the first one I'm liking, with whatever colour stitching (they do a range of colours - see link in first post).I also disagree with the post above (but as always it's a matter of taste and that's an individual thing), I think the Speedy looks far better on leather and across a number of types and colours. The darker strap in the first photo here looks good too: https://www.watchgecko.com/why-the-omega-speedmast...
Mine is on a Geckota leather strap with contrasting stitching - Looks good to me.
This one I think - https://www.geckota.com/geckota-helmsley-leather-s...
