They don't need one really do they - such a top job over the last few years, I'm not sure why they don't make 'more of the same' their logo.
Would still be greatly preferable to the Communists.

That decision is going to hurt plenty of the small local businesses in the area. Still MPs don’t need to concern themselves over such trivia.

They should just do the MP/minister speeches by video link from a studio in Westminster, it's not like the audience of party members gets to do anything except listen and clap during those speeches. They can still have all the conference debates in Manchester as planned, don't really need the MPs there in person.

Then obviously refuse the opposition the time off for their next conference next year.

They won't be missing much. There would have been hardly a mention of the B word, but laser like focus on the NHS, more money for schools, and more police - Becasue that's what every answer to tory minister ends up in anyway.

There will be more time to get on the piss, so I am sure the bars will be happy.
I'd imagine there will be plenty of overtime for the local plod as well, as I'd have thought there will be even more of a demonstration now.

What I would love to happen, but won't:

Boris commits to a No Deal Brexit and is joined on stage by Nigel Farage on a joint ticket to fight the next election.

It doesn't matter if you support one party or another, it is yet another step in the tit for tat world of Westminster. The other two main parties have had their conferences conveniently at the same time parliament was prorogued and we got to hear their key note plans on the TV no matter how bizarre.

Now they have stopped the Tories having theirs and must be laughing their heads of but will they laugh if he wins a majority and next time orders his MP's not to suspend parliament when they want their next year?

It is childish and only makes the others look utterly stupid and vindictive.

The point is simple, it is an agreed process that parliament goes into recess for all major parties to have their conference. This decision to not allow it for just the tory party is just a cheap shot to keep them out of the limelight and for the public to hear speeches without the constant interruptions for others in the house.

The problem with all of the current antics is once used others can do the same

It messed up the labour party conference as well.

When you have Ken Clarke voting against recess for the Tory conference I suggest you direct any approbrium towards Johnson and his mates.

why don't you just say you do not understand how it works. you would look far less silly.

Normally MP,s across the house agree to have a recess and have a vote ,this is a gentleman's agreement type of thing.
This year Boris in his wisdom decided that instead of sticking to this agreement he would illegally shut down parliament. Now luckily for the libs and communists this coincided with their conferences well almost labour had to cut their one short due to Boris's little wheeze being found null and void and Parliament resuming normal business.

In a stellar move just before he knew he needed the support of the MP,s Boris decided it would be a jolly good etonian Jape to wind up the very MP's he needed on side to get a recess so his party could have a jolly old knees up in manchester with out having to worry about parliamentary business.

surprise surprise said MP's took unkindly to this and basically told Boris to jog on .

now the tory conference is still going to happen but boris and his chums will have to keep an eye Westminster as no doubt votes will be taking place at the same time.

not exactly a chess player our prime minister is he?

I think our Boris has caught a bit of Gordon Brown’s ailment - bad luck compounding poor judgement.

It's 4d chess, well beyond the ability of any normal human to understand! The endgame will see Boris crowned as the king of a newly revitalised British empire (the Queen will stand down for him) and Farage will be made the Archbishop of Canterbury or something.

On the other hand he could be a Shyster who bet his farm on a no deal brexit and is currently spending his nights curled in a ball hugging his legs crying himself to sleep whilst trying not to think about ditches...
