Been meaning to replace conntrol arms etc. on my SLK55(171) for a while, but now it's urgent...

Been trolling through the usual CP4L/ECP/Mister Auto/Buycarparts 'et al' and am amazed and perplexed at the number of brands on offer - and the wide range of prices.

So, in general, is quality always reflected in the price? Are there any lower price reliable brands? Which are Mercedes OEM?

When I replaced engine mounts and trans mounts it was fairly simple - Lemforder and Corteco - so I wasn't expecting the 'Heinz 57' on control arms etc.

Would appreciate any input or personal experience.

Lemforder if the budget will cater for then.

After that: Febi Bilstein, Meyle HD (not "normal" Meyle), SKF, SNR. Oh, and FAI for gaskets and rubber bits.

Everything else tends to be poorly fitted rubbish these days, don't bother. Moog and TRW are old school brands which have been bought up and pumping out crap now.
