YouTube links

Is there any chance you can allow user posted links to YT to be displayed, as they are in most other sites (and as they can be posted by mods/editorial here), with a preview window and the description from YT?

I know that there is (was?) a rule that YT links had to have a description but hardly anyone bothers.

I might be old fashioned but I don't like clicking on links without having an inkling of what I'm getting.

Perhaps more usefully it would stop people clicking links to things they have already seen.
