link 2 BT TV boxes to double recording capacity?

Is that possible or is there an easier way? Connected to TV by scart lead.

Why not just use one box to record some programming and the other to record alternative programming?

That's what I do with my BT box and Sky box.

either remote works both boxes. So they both try to do the same thing at the same button press although only one actually shows on screen as one is port hdmi1 and the other is hdmi2. Just thought it may be easier to piggyback one on the other through one port but I may not have thought this through properly! would really like to increase memory capacity somehow and have two boxes so thought there may be a way?
