A little of two weeks ago I sold my Porsche 996 C4S after 3 trouble free years of ownership. It was a really good car and it was sad to say goodbye but I fancied a change.

I went on holiday and round the pool I decided on getting a Honda Integra Type R. Most for sale were white which I wasn’t overly keen on and then I found a Milano Red one with a factory fitted Modulo kit which looked perfect. The seller seemed very genuine and so I put a deposit down the day after flying back.

Last weekend I made the trip to Northern Ireland to pick the car up for the long drive home.

Anyway here’s some pics of the car

The previous owner done a huge amount of work to the car, he was a true enthusiast and looked visibly sad about selling the car.

As well as turbo charging the car he also fully undersealed the car to protect it from rust.

I’ve only a few issues to sort out;

1 - Air Con doesn’t work, hopefully it’s just a regas.

2 - The car is fitted with a 3” exhaust which unfortunately scrapes on every speed going. There are a lot of these near me so it’s something I need to get sorted.
I’m going to look at getting a section replaced with an oval exhaust. Hopefully this will sort it.

I need to get used to the gearbox, it’s really tight and keep mis-shifting.

I had an engine warning light come up this week, the car was driving like a dog. It’s was kangarooing down the road when not on the throttle.
As the guy changed the ECU and installed the Hondata software I was able to diagnose the issue from my phone!
Turns out it was something to do with the idle control valve.

I cleared the fault and it drove fine again. Heart was in my mouth for a bit but it’s been fine since. Fingers crossed. I’ll keep an eye on it.

I owned a Pre-facelift Integra DC5, which was also milano red as it happens.

The gearbox is a pleasure to use once you get used to it, i struggled with going 5th to 6th, accidentally went back into 4th a few times!

I was reading your posts about your old ITR this afternoon.
You had to get it painted twice etc... then it seemed you sold it relatively quickly.

The gear shift will take some getting used to I must admit. It’s an exciting car to drive though I must admit.

It is lovely and all credit to the previous owner. It was far from the cheapest on the market but that’s reflected by the quality of work done.

I also considered a FN2 but there just isn’t many available and I wasn’t overly keen on 4 doors.

Yeah it's unfortunate how getting dicked about by paint shops which costs you thousands can kill your love of a car.

That aside though, main reason for selling is that it wasn't really getting used enough and wanted to free up a few ££ to get onto the property ladder and pay off some wedding debt!

I would have another in a heartbeat, they are pretty reliable and affordable to own for such a capable drivers car, in my mind there isn't really anything else that does it all so well as an all-rounder.

That's bloody gorgeous.

The body kit compliments the car well and the engine bay content is very interesting!!!

The body kit is factory from standard. I’m told there are only 2 of these facelift models with this body kit and in this colour in the country!

This is the spec of the car, hope you’re sitting down as it’s quite extensive...

Brilliant looking, must be a very exciting thing to drive with that much power in a light car.

The colour and condition is what drew me to the car in the first place. The 400bhp is just a bonus really.
The number plate is cool, imo, too.
It is exciting to drive but obviously suffers from torque steer quite a lot.
