Pit Bike, 50cc, Scooter ? 12 yr old - Field Bike

My 12yr old daughter wants a motor bike to ride in the field, if she likes it I'll get something better.

She's 5'3" so do that mean she's too big for a pit bike ?

What about a scooter ?

What should I be searching for on ebay / gumtree ?

Will £500 get something remotely reliable ?

CRF100 would be ideal but you will probably have to spend a bit more

Yep, can’t go wrong with Honda CRF, tough as old boots. Might have to spend a little bit more but resale is good.

Finally managed to find a CRF100 - mint and local but nearly double original budget.

It's definitely the right bike, so easy to ride - it will potter around on tickover
