Trying to get ready for fall... This has been going on for some time. Oil settles on the sensor plate. The only 3 places I can see are 1) the air inlet to the filter box (not oilly), 2) the hose to the intake manifold (sooty but not oily) and 3) the random air hose to the filter box (not oily).

Any ideas where the oil comes from? Thanks

Hi Grady

Is there a pipe going to the metering head air intake boot, the rubber cap on top of it?...If yes then im sure that comes from the oil cap breather so is going straight in as unfiltered oily air....other than that...Not sure

If you mean an extra hose going to the black rubbery cap that goes over the sensor plate's body, then no. It appears to be sealed from the sensor plate to the throttle plate. The old "pleated" air hose between the cap and the engine intake cracked and I have a newish silicone one fitted. And that other vent hoes that plugs into the air filter box is up-stream of (that is before) the K&N air filter.

Im baffled mate...did some searching but couldn't find anything similar, symptoms kind of look like you are running the air intake too close to the road with no filter...but your not?...strange...I can ask some well knowledge'd Ford guys on Monday for you.

It looks red? So it would be ATF from your supercharger! ;^)

Upper & lower crankcase pressures off! something may be clogged.

Check the emissions bit of the manual.for the hose routing and clean the that filter thing withe brillo pad inside.
