Quick question ref my newly accepted vantage.
I have a accumate charger left over from an old classic car . I used to connect direct to battery.
If I get a power plug from Halfords and simply connect the + earth to the correct wires on the plug can I plug this into outlet in boot of vantage to keep battery topped up

Don't see why not. I've got an Optimate 6 Ampmatic, bought the cigar lighter lead with it and the only place I plug it in is in the boot. You might want to support the little bracket that the socket is mounted on with one hand, as the cigar plugs can be tight and the socket is on a cantilevered bracket that can flex a bit., I just hold behind the socket with my left hand and plug in with the right.

Remember to plug in before you switch the conditioner on, and vice-versa when you want to drive the car. I know you know that, but maybe all the readers don't.

Two things to ensure before you do, firstly is the accessory socket in the boot live without the ignition being switched on. Secondly I would check that your old style battery conditioner is suitable for a modern day battery on an Aston Martin.

To be honest I would bin, or sell on eBay, and get a CTEK.

Yes looking at ctek now.
But I have this unit that I know works and for less than £5 and ten minutes work it could do the job.
Ctek £100 with adaptor
But I am totally clueless when it comes to car electrics

I was very lucky after my Aston Martin branded trickle charger packed up.

A kind poster on here drew attention to an Amazon sale, think they called it Black Friday. Bought a CTEK for £35.

Perhaps if you can wait, that might happen again as Christmas approaches. Have to be quick though. The low price ceased during the afternoon on that occasion.

I bought the 0.8A version CTEK charger a few years ago and it has performed perfectly for the V8. Keeps the battery tip top.
Amazon UK currently have them at just under 40 quid.

Yes it should work fine I use an accumate with cigarette adapter on my Vantage.
Why spend money when you don’t have to.
