Hi guys, are there any no no's when driving in the different settings? Is comfort ok at any speeds? I had the fault light flash up at 60mph, it went off after switching the car on and off, what i did notice was all the settings weren't available till it had reset itself

cheers

After having my Q7 for about 18mths, when it hit 120k-ish (it was about 8yrs old at this point) I randomly started getting the same issue with my Q7 and comfort setting.

Sometimes it would reset itself on turn off, sometimes I needed to reset with Carista.

I think it was the air-sus starting to fail and thankfully I moved it on before it went pop ... ps your reg doesn’t begin with RV09 does it??

The compressors can (and do) wear with age so the system will struggle to keep up with itself in terms of maintaining pressure and adjusting to changes.

Dr G out of interest I have a 2009 Allroad with 106k with the air suspension, and while it continues to work fine, it would be useful to know at what sort of age/mileage or other indicators the compressor or bags fail?

I planned to keep it another 2 years but theres the dilemma to sell it now while it has some value & no issues or keep it & accept its going to start to wear costly items like the air sus.

While its very well maintained theres not a lot you can do to maintain parts like the air sus. Mind you its built significantly better than my much newer S3 which is made of chocolate !

Older Q7s always seem to eat their compressors, Allroads seem relatively well behaved.

Not cheap to repair but not silly either; just because a modestly priced Wabco part can be bought in an expensive Audi branded box it doesn't mean you have to...
