Exige S1 Prices have gone MAD!

[matrs]

Is it me or has the pricing on the Exige S1 gone crazy, I had been saying my beer tokens and had £18000 to spend, most decent cars now seem to be over £21,000!, I cannot run to the extra expense as the wife and I are expecting our first child later this month.

If only I had the finances of Davey S1 :D

You've timed your purchase with the start of the trackday season!

dont sell the wife wait a month!...kids fetch more money on the internet!...then buy a s2!!!!

you'l always pay a small premium round summer time for a sports car but usally its not that much more i'm sure u'l find one for 18k jus keep looking theres not a huge number about so new ones dont come up for sale all the time patience is the key

Nope folk have woken up to the fact of how good the S1 Exige is, esp as a trackday car - prices of good uns are on the way up as owners are hanging on to them - Paul Matty has 2 for sale at mo £25k and £28k... They ain't making cars like S1 Exiges again....

you wouldnt say that if you saw the state of my bank account.

More wedge about to go on a Stage 1 exhaust as well.

S1 prices do seem to have gone up a bit recently. I spoke to a bloke at the Club Lotus day at Combe on Saturday who said he was being offered really strong money for his by several dealers.

The S1's are probably also getting to the stage where decent low milers are getting harder to find so will attract bigger sums.

Matt,

Check this out:

It's been around for a while and had a few owners. A mate was toying with the idea but decided to spend his pounds else where.

He spent a lot of time talking with the seller. He didn't get on with the Exige - too raw. Wants an Evo 8 or someting now. Anyway, by all accounts it is in very good condition. It's way up north though and has had 5 owners. Might be a bargain though, if it's been well looked after?

Duncs

P.S he was looking for about 17k?

Cheers Duncs, noticed that one a on ebay a few times, seems to be taking a long time to sell?, ideally I would like a black, yellow or racing green one, so not really the one for me, think I am goin g to leave it until later in the year.
