Heater panel veneer

Hi

I recently bought my Griff 500 and there is a crack across the veneer panel where the heater dials are located. :grumpy:

Apologies if this has been covered before but the garage advises against extraction and repair due to 'fiddly-ness' and risk of losing the LEDs etc.

Is there anywhere that would undertake this work ,or, could anyone suggest a product that could be used to at least improve the appearance (some kind of resin perhaps?)

Its not a major thing but I cant keep my eyes off the crack now,so to speak! :D

it is a problem, that only gets worse if you start pulling the dash out to fix. in the end I bought a Stainless steel dash which fits over the existing dashboard. (If you are not a S/S fan, you sould buy one and veneer that before fitting)

A lot less hassle that getting the whole dash out.

I agree though, once you spot a crack, you just cant stop looking at it.

London Carriage company just did mine - fab job, much better than the original.
Once I've located the LEDs, you can have a couple for free so don't worry about breaking them! (only 9p each, so i'm going to buy a dozen or so of each to distribute amongst my fellow PH'ers)

Agreed, LCC reveneered the panel on Wol, it puts the rest of the dash to shame. It is apparently a fiddly job, luckily for me, Joolz did Wols' during a bit of work I had done a year or so ago.

BB - you have an infinate amount more patience/skill/knowledge/DIY ability than me, to do the job you did on your dash. Big up to you!!
