As it happens the highest bidder on the auction so far was happy to offer me a reasonable price outside the auction, and is picking it up on Thursday.

The good thing here is he knows exactly what he's getting, can do the work himself, and best of all is an enthusiast who's going to keep the car in one piece and rebuild it - you may yet see it again at another Wedgefest!

Anyway thanks everyone for your help over the years, and financial situation allowing you may see me back here in a few years time!
