Probably a bit late to start moving stuff; they can request statements from accounts etc and if they uncover you trying to hide money then you’re jn hot water.

If you have power of attorney then try to start working out what money they do have!

I am sorry to hear about your dads condition.

I would suggest moving savings at this stage to avoid means testing is not the best action. The local authority will check these things and will likely come after the house if liquid assets are moved/ hidden.

Others with more experience (it is discussed on here quite frequently) will no doubt chip in.
