What's the firing order on the V8 vantage 4.7L engine, i.e., which is cylinder number 3?

Thanks

I believe the order is 1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8 where 1 is the front right hand bank (far right from inside the car) and 1 to 4 are the right hand bank and 5 to 8 are left.

(ThIs order is the reason why most problems with the Tadek Marek V8 are with cylinder 7 as this gets the hottest).

I expect you know, our V8 engines were derived from the Jaguar V8 (AJ-8).
Firing order, 12734568 (according to the internet).

I don‘t know the A M firing order, but I was told that it was changed for the Aston Martin (Cosworth modified) engine, to help obtain the required exhaust sound.

I think the AM firing order is the same but the numbering of the cylinders different. AM is numbered front-to-back, right-then-left whereas Jaguar is numbered right-to-left, front-to-back. So 1-5-4-2-6-3-7-8 is the same as 1-2-7-3-4-5-6-8 on the AJ26.

What a coincidence, but just last night i was randomly browsing through the manual and happen to fall on a specs page showing this. It stuck out among all the other info, as i thought it's very impressive that they managed to make the manual so comprehensive. In comparison, most other modern vehicles have manuals twice as thick just for the radio functions...
