Paying off Audi PCP in cooling off period

Hi all,

I’m a few weeks away from buying a nearly new Q5. I have the cash and want to buy and own the car, rather than finance. Despite this, I know that there are far better discounts available if I go the PCP route. I have heard that many people with the cash, go the PCP route to get the discounts and then cancel within the 14 days. Anyone done this recently? Any penalties?

I did it with BMW recently to get an extra £1,000 off a car and withdrew from the agreement within the 14 days. No penalty.

I’ve done it twice with Audi. The dealers don’t care, they’ve had their bonus and I’ve kept my discount and free services.
