Looking to become a plumber
Discussion
Of course it's possible. I know two that did it in totally different ways.
Both did weekend courses.
One then went on to work with a friend of a friend FOC on Saturdays and the occasional Sunday to build up his experience. He then went Sundays by himself, then Saturday and Sundays by himself. Once he was busy on these days he dropped his 9-5 job and struggled for a year whilst his built his base up.
The other done his course and quit his £45K pa job. Has struggled since
It's never too late to change careers, believe me on that one

What does the second guy struggle with? getting customers, the hours, working for himself?
Speaking as an ex-plumber, it's quite a difficult trade and not one of the more enjoyable ones. I still do some plumbing, I've got two bathrooms to do this month but I pick and choose.
I'm not entirely sure why you'd suddenly decide to become one or why it would be a long held dream but we're all different! Can't help you with the courses side of things but if I can answer anything else feel free to post up
