In North America we have after market specialty stores such as NAPA and Pep Boys which are nationwide chain stores. Is there such an animal in the UK. I have a daughter in Newcastle (Tyne) and she would could buy parts for me. I have a 280i and some parts are simply not available in Canada

Also you can get a lot of parts from Rimmer Brothers, and there are a few Jag parts places that are good for the rear end stuff around the diff - search for my post on rear pads.
