I would not describe the TL4 as a great gearbox, didn't it come from a traffic?

Looks nice, I understand what you means about the H&R springs I had a set on my 55 and their low speed ride was terrible but up the pace & they came into their own.

When I switched to the Penske coilovers the low speed ride improved as well as the high speed.

Had a alien green and bro had a white rs200 ,when we both turned 20, nice car and decent turn of speed but man the gearboxes.

I think I had 2 he had 1,I clocked 12k on the first gearbox and 7k miles between the second gearbox, Brothers failed at 15k .

We paid 10%RUK paid the other 90% including labour.

Great handling cars though and still look great to this day good luck with yours .

Peak power is@ 7100rpm so it’s quite high revving compared to most engines.

How come the boxes are so pants on these?

Is the issue cured on later cars/ versions?

Liquid yellow has got to be one of Renault's best colors smile Ever though about a front splitter? https://www.instagram.com/p/BwVDe_pjh1i/

Too improve on the level of Trackday fun you get from these by getting another car you are going to have to spend a lot of money.
They truly are a great package.

That looks fab. Love the colour and it sits really well with the slight drop.

Never been into french cars at all but did fancy one of these just too small for my dogs. Lad round the corner has a blue one always look at it when walking past.

Fellow liquid yellow Clio 200 owner here! You also have the option of the val racing diff which gets good reviews or the blackline diff that pure motorsport sell, both are atb and are closer to half the price of the quaife. Nick at pure motorsport is usually very helpful when it comes to query’s and they don’t sell anything that’s not of a high standard so might be worth asking about the blackline vs the quaife as there’s quite a gap in price.

You’ll need to factor in new bearings and seals they should really get replaced at the same time. Also worth getting a the synchros checked for wear when fitting as it is quite common on 3rd and 4th gear.

My front subframe was pretty rusty but a wire wheel and a bit of paint has given it a bit more life. Going to replace with a custom one at some point in aluminium.
