Got asked out for a drink today, by a bloke IN THE STREET! :yikes: He was walking the other way.

Now, although this (of course) stoked my little ego (I'm sure anyone would be flattered), it struck me as a rather weird thing to do. I had to talk to him for a whole 2 minutes, just not to be completely rude, before legging it in the other direction.

To be honest I found it a little disturbing.

But it got me wondering. Have you ever asked someone out for a drink on a complete whim (i.e. not in a bar or something), or been asked out yourself by a complete stranger? just interested :hehe:

asked one of my clients out today, was the second time I'd seen her though...does that count?

other than that, plenty of girls in bars/clubs etc

and also one memorable time in portugal I was asked out to a bar on the beach for a party and :not going to say here : by a girl in a traffic jam in Faro that was cool plus she was not too bad at all, ended up seeing her for a few months

I asked out a random bird at uni, previously I had only spoken to her for a couple of minutes by chance. Finally plucked up the courage, could find the right moment so thought sod it, chased after her and asked her out. She had a boyfriend, but she was so, so attractive

Despite seeing her most days I haven't spoken to her since! Now a year and a half later.

Believe me, they all do. Or they're 'not interested'. You're only sure-fire if they come on to you.

Never mind me, I'm just like this...

Ooh I dunno His car's got a big wing on the back though, but it kinda needs it...

Seriously though - he sounds like potential stalker material But how the hell did he get your number?

You think that's weird.

I was talking to a young lady who works for one of our suppliers today (something to do with them sending us the wrong stock). She rang once and asked me for a few bits of information which I gave her, then said she'd call back in a short while to let me know what was going to happen next.

When she called back a colleague of mine answered the phone before handing it over to me. I had to put said young lady on hold for a minute or two whilst I looked something up, and my colleague reckoned I should ask her if she has a boyfriend on the basis that she sounded extremely fit (which she did. She also sounded like she had the cheerful confidence of somebody who knows she's a bit of alright)...

But c'mooooon!
