Aldi Battery Charger - yes or no?
Discussion
In need of a battery maintainer/charger to leave permanently connected through the lighter socket in the boot of my DB9 and, having read (on this forum) that the Lidl chargers are actually as good/reliable as the Ctek ones, I wonder whether this Aldi one and the clamp/lighter adaptor I’ve found on eBay would work?
Or perhaps I should just spend an extra £70 and get the CTEK with the proper adaptor?!

I'm always one for a good deal but if you are going away for 2 weeks and leaving the car plugged in I'd want to know I'd be leaving the best 'tried and tested' charger on the market in place.
If I felt I needed to plug in a charger when leaving the car for just 2 weeks the first thing I'd do is buy a new battery.I get the need for trickle chargers when a car is left for a long time, but do any modern Aston's need them for such a short period?
I have the Lidl charger and it seems a good job, but I don't need it for the Aston, yet.
