thinkin of selling

If its a mental drain, let the car go.
You will miss TVR ownership, but if you do start saving now, you'll probably be in aston martin in next to no time....
Your life, your mind, your wealth and your family come before your car. TVR's are for fun, but if you aint having any fun and it starts mentally fecking you, then let it go. God knows what could go wrong after the gearbox is sorted, differential? Flywheel? if you are not willing to accept anymore failures in the next 5k, then sell her off, IMO...

I sold mine after 2 yrs and 13K of bills.
By the time I had finished with it it was virtually perfect.... Then I sold it and within a few weeks started to get the itch for another. It would probably have been more sensible just to keep the first one. BUT I couldnt bring myself to spend anymore on it and it really needed nitrons and a bit of paint work (ie another couple of thousand). So I followed my heart, got rid of her and then a yr later bought another.

good call Leebus. The only really non wear n tear expense is the gearbox. Can be expensive problem to fix I guess BUT the other items could cost you loads of dosh on an M3, a Land Rover etc... A friend of mine just had to get an indie garage to replace the gearbox on her Freelander (puke) and it cost £1500. She actually cried - made me feel better re my TVR experiences! Didnt tell her that though!
