Best 65" TV - limited budget?
Discussion
Hi all.
Need a TV. Likely to be 65" or possibly 60/55". Budget is £800.
Seems my reading is leaning me towards LG. Are Samsung still one brand to avoid, or are they up there now? Other brands I'd consider are Sony and Panasonic, but looking for some wisdom on here.
Looked at the LG Nanocell TVs - look good, but the model specs all seem to show the same, except the higher model number (for the same size screen) makes for a higher price. And not sure if £800 will get me a great one.
Not overly concerned about sound quality, as I have an old Yamaha soundbar (YSP-40) for that, although at 10 years old it doesn't have the latest sound formats.
Not fussed about how 'smart' the TV is, as the inputs are via AppleTV/HDMI.
What get's watched? Films and box sets, and motorsport.
What are the collective thoughts? And if £800 just won't get anything decent, please say.
Cheers all.
