I have been lusting after an F80 M3 for a while now and started looking at AT/PH etc...

Ran an insurance quote on a particular example and the cheapest I can find is £3.6k!

I appreciate insurance is very subjective... Has anyone else experienced similar? For a bit of background I'm 24, 5 years driving, 4 years NCB, clean licence. For comparison an M2 is coming back at £1.5k, my current M235i £900...

True, but enough that I thought I could reasonably insure one!

Safe to say, I’m back looking at 997 CS’ hehe

I just tried an M4 for comparison, I can get it as low as £1.8k with £800 excess... palatable, shame the M4 is the ugly sibling hehe

Sold my F80, spent x3 on a new 922 and got half my premium back!

Wow haha! I can believe it though, F80 M3’s seem excessively expensive to insure!
