Arnold Clark protect

Hi all first post!

Just about to buy a cla merc from Arnold Clark and there trying to sell me there protection that they spray over outside and the interior. Sounds good if it works, does anyone have any experience of this? £300 it is.

Ceramic coating? Properly applied, yes, it works, but I wouldn't get it done by a dealer. Have a detailer do it.

Don't touch it . Far better going to a proper detailer. Key to any ceramic coating is proper preparation and there's no way Arnold Clark will do that. Recently purchased a car from them and the salesman stated the car was fully valeted and in amazing condition. Subsequently spent 7 hours cleaning it properly !

It's snake oil, just like Supaguard and all the other stuff they try and flog you as add-ons that they make a huge mark-up on.

If it’s anything like Autoglym Lifeshine, it’s a £25 kit plus labour (& commission). As has been said, it’s all about preparation & quality of application. Get an expert to do the work & not someone who does a basic clean on cars, at best.
