I’ve been.

It’s very nice, quite casual but smart, has its own lift entrance from selfridges .

Each dish is small so you order several and have a decent spread.

I’ve attached the bill so you can see what to expect.

We plan to max out at about £50.00 a head . MIght have a glass of wine. But don’t really drink at lunch . Just fancy a nice lunch and our 10 year old is a real foodie .

Did you have 4 x main courses ? !

Well spotted

Although it looks like 4 main courses they aren’t belly busters.

I can’t remember the Italian terminology but each is about half size so you order a few.

Nice place especially sitting outside and I’d imagine they have heating on the verandah.

Quick update .

We had a great time ! The reception was perfect , but that might have to do with been “guests of Selfridges “ . The staff super good without the cheesy service given in so many places . It was RAMMED . And some people at the private lift a little upset that they would not be eating !

As for the food it was lovely . Very very nice quality fish that must have been as fresh as possible .It had that “sea taste “ . The wines by the glass not outrageous expensive etc . The Panacotta the best I have eaten .

As for the portion, I found them perfect for most people , So “thankyou4calling “ must be a greedy bugger !

Last bit that needs to be mentioned . If you love the BOTOX filled faces Russian hooker/Essex “away day “minger look . This is Heaven central for you !

that actually looks pretty good, I'm short walk from Selfridges, and had no idea about this restaurant, will have to give it a try.

For future reference, theres a great crab restaurant just behind selfridges https://www.fancycrab.co.uk

another minute or two walk is https://www.pachamamalondon.com which has some amazing dishes. In a basement though, so no al fresco dining.

There's also http://www.relaisdevenise.com/marylebone.php for a simple steak and chips set lunch.

I've walked past this place several times and, whilst I really like the concept, have always been totally put off due to it looking very similar in layout / ambience to the Garfunkels or similar that used to be in the same location.

Should I put aside my pre-conceptions and actually give it a try?

Yes, I was put off by them constantly advertising on instagram. But some friends booked it, and actually it was excellent. Went again with a friend the other day, and excellent again. Obviously its about the king crab, which is great there.
