Registration records

I'm trying to find the registration details of a car in a photograph I have. The registration prefix is CG which was used by Hampshire between 1934 and 1974. The DVLA can't identify the number, so I'm presuming the car, a Morris model I think, has long since been scrapped. Hampshire County Record Office don't seem to have any relevant record. Has my pursuit of an official record ended or does somebody out there have any advice on a possible next step?

New to all this and didn't know about the Kithead Trust. Unfortunately their site confirmed (much more quickly) what the Hampshire RO almost said, that the volume of the record for CG is 'missing'. I suspect this registration will ultimately be untraceable. Thank you very much for the pointer.

Cant help with the registration but would be good if you can post the picture on here..
Wouldn't take long for someone to identify the exact make/model/year for you!

SilverHarrier's sure somebody will recognise the make and model of the car even if the registration is unrecoverable, so here goes:

It looks to me like a Morris Cowley (cheaper Oxford). According to my books that model ran from 1927 - 1935.

Never heard of Kithead before but now bookmarked for future use!

Morris 10/4 would have been my suggestion, but the 12/4 Cowley is not too different-looking.

The Morris Cowley 1932 fits the bill (before then it didn't seem to have a divided radiator and the windscreen was square) but equally the 10/4 looks good. As I say I'm a complete tyro at this. I'm very grateful for the suggestions.
