Hi guys you may have come across a few of my other posts the past few weeks about washing etc at home. Quick summary, bought a 3 year old car a few months back it’s black and was financed by previous owner so it’s not been a stranger to the Eastern European £5 washes during its life (no offence) car was covered in swirls and covered up by dealer when I bought, so had it machine polished got most the imperfections out etc, recently started snow foaming as I bought a new pressure washer, not impressed- most of you guys were correct! Resorted to a snow foam step followed by 2 bucket wash and protection in chosen wax/polish. Bought a pet dryer also to dry vehicle off, which I do like a lot!

My question is, what’s a good pre wash solution to spray over the body before actual wash. I’m aware of iron out type products which do a great job on alloys, is this okay to use on paint work? Or is it too harsh? Need something that can soak up all the gunk once settled in then blast it off before heading into a wash. I thought the snow foam would do this but it’s actually rubbish just makes the car look good once completely white haha. Only used a autoglym polar blast and the other blast they do (forget the name) but yeah I see a lot of keen detailers go around and spray the vehicle with some sort of degreaser prior to washing? Any ideas?

Many thanks

Cheers mate, any good? How do you apply just tip into a spray bottle and do a once over on car, or do you use a snow foam lance
