Does seem a “tad” cheap for a helmet especially with the extra technology. $45 so prob around £30-£35! For something as important as helmet I’d be a bit cautious myself.

Well, I've just ordered one.

$45 delivered, it will either be an amazing deal or amazingly crap; either way it's going to make a great story.

I'll update you when (if) it arrives!

Fairly certain this is a scam, they seem to be using images from another kickstarter/indiegogo project:

https://www.indiegogo.com/projects/crosshelmet-the...

I hope you paid via credit card or PayPal as I don't think there's much chance of getting an actual helmet.

FFS don’t order until we know it’s legit. I wasn’t intending to use it on my bike, was for my EUC which tops out at 38mph.

Bizarrely, I have already received a text confirmation of my order with a link to my order online.

Either way, scam or not, I have paid with Amex so I have no worries.

Not listed on SHARP. Wouldn't touch it with a f**king barge pole.

Scam.

No doubt the pod site is a scam but the crosshelmet concept is quite impressive assuming you want nav, rear view and Bluetooth.

Seriously????

Touch controls on the RHS of the helmet... which hand is throttle/brake again????? And we think that isn't a problem.... or ar bikes in the US LH throttle?

Rear view feature and combined nav constantly distracting in your forward vision.... sounds good but in practice is a fundamental flaw especially at times of increased activity either in front, out back or both.

Basically, a fix for a problem that doesn't really exist.... and causal factors to those that already do....

But a natty way to sell tech to the tech hungry masses who haven't figured out that if texting in a car is sooooo bad and a danger to riders, what's the difference with this proposal....
