Dell Latitude E5510 won't boot from USB
Discussion
Wonder if someone can help. I'm not getting any useful hits on Google.
I have an old Dell Latitude E5510 laptop, it would originally have had Windows 7 on it, but I've had Win 10 on it for ages. However it has always run like a pig and I don't really need Windows these days. So I thought I'd try out a couple of alternatives.
I first downloaded the Cloudready Home edition from Neverware:
https://www.neverware.com/#intro
Which is essentially Chromium OS.
And created a bootable USB stick. Tried it out on the Dell (hitting F12 for the boot menu) and it worked fine.
But wanting to keep options open I didn't install it.
I then downloaded the Lubuntu image onto a USB stick.
https://lubuntu.net/
Booted from this and it worked fine too. Decided in install it and deleted and replaced the Windows partition with a new Lubuntu one as part of the Lubuntu installation process.
Lubuntu boots up and works fine and recognises USB sticks as you'd expect. But I can no longer get it to boot from USB to give CloudReady another go.
I can get to the boot menu (F12) and the Bios setup. I've tried
Legacy Boot:
USB Storage Device
and
UEFI Boot:
UEFI: INT13(USB,0x80)
Have tried a few Bios options, including saying don't boot from the HDD at all. But it just won't boot from the USB drive. All it does it is keep loading the Bios and repeat or will boot into Lubuntu.
I've tested the USB stick on another machine and it works fine and lets me boot into Cloudready. So it must be the Dell laptop and something that happened when/after installing Lubuntu.
Any ideas? I'm a little lost on what else to try.
Thanks.

Cloudready can be a little fussy over USB sticks and installs.
I would completely wipe/clean the usb stick you're using and then reinstall the cloudready program onto it again.
I think you might need to run the 32bit version of cloudready on an early icore like yours but you can try both to see which works best.
