My Two Jaguar XKRs

Although my 1972 Pantera is the big attention getter, the truth is my 2010 XKR coupe handles my daily driving duties for the last six years, and my 2002 XKR convertible did so for six years preceding the coupe. Whereas I love the look of the X100 convertible which shows and owes its obvious heritage to the E-type, it is simply no match for the power, handling, and finesse of the X150 format. My 2010 coupe which was pulleyed and tuned to about 600hp and had a few body enhancements done, is still a joy to drive after 150,000 miles. The shocking torque that explodes from the supercharged 5.0L engine is incredible and is the reason I stopped driving my Pantera. It was (is) quicker, more nimble, certainly more comfortable and reliable, and never "complains" about the outside temperature or conditions. My X100 feels like a bowl of jello when comparing rides, but I still love the looks and driving topless during the 360 days of sunshine we get in Los Angeles every year.

The rear bumper/diffuser is from a company out of Chicago named FX Designs. They market them through Ebay. The side skirts and front splitter is from Mina Galleries in Los Angeles. They do a lot of aftermarket pieces and parts for Jaguars including many that are no longer on their website but are still available if you speak with Chris, the owner. I wanted mine to look a lot like the XKR 175, and I really liked the look of the rear bumper/diffuser. Some have painted the diffuser part black or charcoal, and it's also quite effective.

One more thing I forgot to mention. With the F/X Design bumper/diffuser there is a black plastic, honeycombed mesh included for the open areas in the bumper. I thought that plastic mesh looked very cheap and the holes were much too big. I got a couple of metal mesh grills from Chris at Mina and substituted them into the bumper. It looks better and somewhat matches the front o.e.m. mesh. Just for your information.
