Borg Warner 35 Spares
Discussion
I am working on a Borg Warner 35 automatic gearbox in a Sunbeam Alpine. They only made about 200 Automatic Alpines and some of the more unique parts are difficult/impossible to get.
This same gearbox was in numerous Triumphs, Rovers, MGs etc with different linkages and change set ups. I need to find a new gearbox selector lever and support arm (Parts 174 & 175 in the drawing).
I am unlikely to find a Sunbeam version but does anyone have a similar part for a different car OR know a supplier who is likely to have a pile of old BW35 parts sitting on a shelf somewhere? If I can get a lever with a slotted hole that will fit to the selector rod I can probably cut and weld it to make a replica of what I need.

Bit of a longshot but some Scimitars (mine included) had the 35 Automatic in them. Try https://www.qrgservices.co.uk/qrg_parts.htm or http://www.grahamwalkerreliantparts.co.uk/

I pressume you've already tried Speedy Spares, the Rootes Group classic parts specialist...?This same gearbox was in numerous Triumphs, Rovers, MGs etc with different linkages and change set ups. I need to find a new gearbox selector lever and support arm (Parts 174 & 175 in the drawing).

Might be a bit of a long shot in view of the age but you could give these a call.
Used them for ZF parts for my RRC & they were very helpful & do mail order.
