an unshod 3 piece RS speedline wheel. Need to find out the weights of the front and rear individually as thinking of shipping a set to Germany to get them refurbished.

Any ideas any one ??

Cheers,

Ben.

Rennlist - lots of posts on wheel weights.

I guess they'd be comparable to the TT hollow spokes though which are about 38kg for the set (without tyres).

I can tell you that the weight of the bolts for one wheel is 750 grams....

I think the rears are about 25-7lbs and fronts are 24ish.

I'm in the process of restoring mine by hand, you can see progress on rennlist in the 964turbo section...

Ben,

Yes, as usual for a Bank Holiday Monday the bikes put on a good show, closely followed by the muppet in the E30 cab who decided to ride the central divider with his sump and and then dump the contents over 50 yards of road... that was the end of the bikes doing wheelies.

Where were you?

My g'friends folks are over all the way from Australia so prolly wouldn't have been in the best of interest of survival to disappear with the " other girlfriend " for a couple of hours on their second night !

Will be there next time round though. Had a little excursion into the gravel at spa which has accelerated the need for the speedline refurb, hence the question.

Have a good weekend.

Ben.

Diamond Styling in norf London did a stunning job on mine. Make sure you get the ally bit anodised not laquered as it lasts much much longer.

Hi JC yep got back in one piece thanks mate. You heard from Vic about the audi S2 coupe ?? Well put it this way....i just spectated as Vic and this audi disappeared into the distance, neither making any distance on the other. The guy who owns the car and who part runs this audi tuning shop tracked down vic and it turns out this car has 480 bhp etc etc so very definitely the wolf in sheep clothing !

Re the speedlines....yeah been having conversation with Johnny Senna about the whole Speedline situation. Whilst happy to pay the dosh to get pucka job done, spoke to Tom Schmidt and he can get them re-done for between 650 and 950 euro, all new stainless bolts, polished and re-anodised outer shoulders and re-painted centres which I believe is alot cheaper than over here. Vic's refurb for rs speedlines at diamond was i.r.o. £1200....so BIG difference.

Whatever happens just want to get the best job done. Waiting on some before and after piccies from Tom before commiting. Will give Diamond and Colin a call though.

Thumbs up for the advice..( isn't that right Tim ! )

Cheers,

Ben.

Roy / Melv....this is the place Vic recommended first up as well. Will definitely give them a call. Surely if I mention " Melv " and the infamous " Mr C " I'll get chris down to a coupla hundred !

The rim where the tyre popped off is in pretty poor state so not sure what the verdict will be on that....just want those speedlines to be back to their blinging best.

Cheers.
