Does anyone have any experience of pursuing a complaint against a broker around an unregulated loan?
I'm familiar with the standard that a complaint has to be rejected before it can go to the Ombudsman. I apparently have that right despite the loan being unregulated.
In essence I took out a development loan which did not deliver what was clearly needed. This resulted in a reclassification of the loan and a lot of extra fees, costs and hassle.
There are at least three people in my line of fire. The original broker, a master broker and a lender. Thr loan has subsequently been repaid in full.
