Strange observations on nearly new car

I’m about to purchase a 1 year old 10000 mile Passat from a main dealer, but noticed few things

1. New set of front Nexen tyres, done probably 5k. Could have been a puncture I guess
2. Bad judder / vibration under braking. Dealer checked today, warped discs and have changed them all round

Not sure if I’m being paranoid but both seem odd on such a young car.

The fault is being remediated, so one less thing to worry about (and replace), surely? It's got 2 years manufacturer warranty left too. If it ticks all the boxes and condition matches mileage, why not?

Feasible that those are original tyres isn’t it? I’d have to check later but pretty sure our Yeti is on Nexens from new.

That car is 99% ex hire car or ex staff.

With both you get hooligans or drivers who treat it as their own.

Nexens are fine in the dry but a handfull in the wet. New Discs and Pads.

Your choice really.

It could well be that it's been sitting around. The corrosion can cause temporary or permanent judder.

However, if there is an underlying mechanical issue that is misaligning the discs, then a new set of discs might only make the problem go away temporarily. Can they agree in writing to warranty against brake judder?

It's had a hard early life, but that may not be a problem.

Agreed. My used car came with a pair of almost new Nexens on the front. Shocking in the wet.

I replaced all 4 tyres with Rainsports that are better everywhere.

The Mrs bought a Nissan Qashqai that after driving away had warped discs. Front discs replaced. It also came with brand new PS4's on the front, to match the rear.
