Fantastic! Would love a mk1. Rocking horse ste either way with their propensity to rust.

I remember being 4 up in a modified mk1 turbo in torquise green going to nightclubs in Portsmouth in the mid 90’s and it felt like a rocket. 2 brothers that were early IT contractors who’d moved to Pompey owned it and it was a properly rapid little thing.

That's the most 90's thing I've heard all day

There used to be a modified one that attended the local 'cruise' before i could drive, sounded awesome!

Well done on keeping it for so long!
My mum had a normal non turbo one and that was pretty rusty back in the early 2000s

Funny you say that as the original photo took me straight back to that era - so much so I spoke in the 90's language I used at the time. Ah, I can almost here the Ibiza tunes and Radio 1 friday night live from Slinky at the Opera House. Burger stop en route back from the club and wearing trousers to get entry. Ahhh. Where did life go?

Bit risky parking it so close to the sea air isn't it? hehe

Thanks guys 😁
I live in Jersey witch is only 5 miles long and 9 miles wide so it keeps the mileage down and to be honest the pocket jocket lives in the garage most if its life since iv owned..
Its believed to be the only one left in the channel islands...
Iv got spares to probably build 2 more 🤦‍♂️
