I may lose my garage next year, So upon renewal i will obviously tell them its chained on the drive ( not a bike that needs garaging to get cover), However come the winter months i have access to a secure outbuilding.

If i were to put it in the secure outbuilding over winter and still have it insured as 'on the drive' would a insurance get pissy because its MORE secure if anything happened?

Hi

Potentially especially of its stolen from what you perceive to be a more secure building but might be in what they regard a higher risk location so just call and tell them where it will be kept as its no longer on your drive.

I am not sure about bikes, but often cars cost more to insure when stated as ‘garaged’, presumably because of likelihood of damage to car driving in and out. Ask insurer.
