Mercedes 190e 2.0 stinks of fuel

As above looking for any experience or guidance on this before I start pulling it apart

Doesn't appear to be leaking (not obviously anyway) but the boot area and occasionally inside the car smell pretty strongly of fuel. I imagine it has a lot to do with 30 year old perished hoses

Are there common corrosion points/fittings? Porous tank maybe?

Modern alcohol containg fuela are especially permiative and the smell gets right tough the wall of the hoses. No actual leak required!

Hose that conforms with SAE 30R9 spec is best, but there a lot of "Alcohol resistant" hose being sold on eBay that isn't.
