Antifreeze/Coolant Change
Discussion
Hi All,
My wife's 2007 Suzuki Swift is due a coolant change. I am happy to flush and change myself, but finding the right coolant is proving tricky.
The manual states that it should be ethylene glycol which is silicate free. It currently has green colored coolant (I know this is just a dye), but not sure which brand of concentrate would match Suzuki's requirements.
On my Suzuki motorbike, I run normal ethylene glycol coolant (2 year life) without any problems, and I am tempted to use that. However, I am not sure of the silicate content and whether this might damage the water pump.
Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
