I kinda like the ugly but fast trend. Sure, people who don''t know what it is think you are an idiot, but then it really cuts down on poseurs too. When you see a new civic Type R, chances are the driver is more likely a true believer than when someone had the previous model. But then, even a hot civic is still a civic to the poseur, so maybe this is a moot point.

Doesn't look half as ugly as an Iprezza or a Marcos to me. And you can bet the engineering will be first class from Honda.

Having driven an Integra for 2 years (now thankfully no longer in my possession) I'm pretty sure that the new Civic is going to be seriously good fun on the road. It looks better than the old Civic Type-R by a long shot and the promo shot here really doesn't do it justice. It's a shame that Honda had to tone down the engine though. The new Integra has the same basic engine, same capacity but with an extra 20 bhp.
