Yes I have, but i need to get around to matching the colour temp of those and the existing sidelights (also LED) and then disabling the dim dip. You could of course go the whole hog and replace the headlamp units with proper integrated LED ones (you can get dip or main plus DRLs) but it is pretty expensive.


I have LEDs in both the bottle-top standalone sidelights and the little bulbs in the main beam Hella lamps. I had to change the latter as they were too high a colour temp and looked too blue and chavvy - you want 4000K or so.
The Hella main beams had a lamp holder but no bulbs in IIRC, I just took a feed from the normal side lights to power them.

I'm not looking to convert the main lights, just to give the car a bit more presence during daylight hours. I am finding that the modern driver is unable to see a black car that's only 44 inches off the ground from their SUV armchair...
