Bought a magnetic car charger for my camera, charger says it supports 7.5 and 10 amp fast charging and 5 amp standard charging. Camera says it is 5v 1amp. I seem to recall from physics lessons at school it is OK to connect a lower amperage gadget to a higher rated charger. Anyone can confirm my memory is right and I won't break the camera?
What is standard and fast charging?

Your memory is correct.I seem to recall from physics lessons at school it is OK to connect a lower amperage gadget to a higher rated charger. Anyone can confirm my memory is right and I won't break the camera?

The item you are charging will only draw as much as it needs - so if the charger is capable of higher output (amps) that's fine.
So long as the voltage is 100% correct, all good.
