Bought the car a few months ago and noticed the normal symptoms of weak ignition coils and/or weak spark plugs. Didn't bother with diagnostics as they had to be replaced all at some point along with the plugs.

The originals are exceedingly expensive as you know so I took the risk and ordered surefire coils instead from ebay. Amanda from Staffordshire was nice and the whole 8 packs are 399. Really easy to replace.

I had the car for three month since and so far so good.

As for the plugs, I really couldn't find any NGK IFR7N-10 which is what AM uses so instead I bought 8x BKR7EIX from America for only 22 UK pounds. I know I should go for BKR7EIX-11 instead but according to many experts a 0.5 mm narrower gap is better in hot weather as in Saudi Arabia and if your drive aggressively which is what I do most of the time. The gap will open up anyway.

Again, the difference is really noticeable, the car pulls much stronger and it even sounds a bit throatier
