My wife hasn’t always been the most energetic. Has down days due to depression so currently takes tablets for that.
I came across B12 tablets 3-4 weeks ago and told her to take some.
The past week or so she has energy all of a sudden. Even if she wakes up at 7am with the baby she is full of beans all day, even the past few nights. It being able to sleep till 1am.

Could B12 tablets really be this beneficial?
She doesn’t drink coffee/ coke.
Not complaining at all. Just about surprised by the sudden change.

Charlie is only 30yo so this and a young baby would be a huge kicker

I have read about red meat being good for mental health, and B12 is one of the vitamins you get loads of when you eat it. So, maybe. Or maybe the other explanation above. :shrugs:

A member of my close family has been struggling with depression, zero appetite, and low energy for a good year now. He recently had bloods done and was told he had a B12 deficiency, since been having shots of B12 from the doc and he's like a new human being, that sort of scary "born again Christian" type energy.

This B12 supplement is sold as an energy booster https://www.amazon.co.uk/gp/product/B008FMBNZG/ref...

I know it has benefits for some neurological issues. And I heard a report about it being used to tackle early symptoms of dementia in old people, along with hydration iirc.

How much is she taking?

Personally I've found a noticeably level in my energy levels after taking vitamin B12.

I'd definitely recommend B12 if you are suffering from low energy levels/fatigue.

Will definitely give this a go, as well as long standing depression I have for about a year suffered from a total (I mean total) lack of energy.

I currently take multivitamins which include 100% of the nutrient reference value - what if any problems could arise if I exceed this? I guess I already do through ‘natural’ intake of B12 through food.

Got to the dr and get tested perhaps? Could be Thyroid or who knows what.

(Unless you don't eat well & sleep 7-8hrs and exercise, if not then sort those 3 first before wasting medical time!).
