Like so many others I have got some great memories of staying on the former Airtrack Campsite run by a certain travel company that’s gone bust. Has anyone contact Hays at all, maybe if enough of us showed some interest they might re open the site for next year.

We used TC Airtrack for the first time last year and found it perfect. I have spoken to my local Hays Travel and they said to follow their social media. Looking to get booked up soon for 2020, but non of the others seem to have as good an offer as TC, not sure how long to wait in the hope that someone takes it on?

From the discussions that I have had with the ACO unfortunately It is unlikely that the old TC site will be available in it's previous format. In terms of Hays Travel they purchased the travel agencies from the administrator NOT the tour operation. It is my understanding from within the industry that it is unlikely that the tour operation will be be bought and that includes Thomas Cook Sport/the motorsport operation. I hope this helps.

If it is not offered to one of the current agencies, the ACO will run it as a campsite themselves. So it will be available at some point.

Presumably they will want to sort it out sooner rather than later, otherwise everyone will have booked up.
